Chart will not open

If the Dentrix Chart will not open:


1.  right click on the desktop icon for "Chart"

2. select "open file location"

3. find Chart.config

4. right click on that file and select "rename"

5. rename the file by adding ".old" to end of the file

6.  now try open chart again


If that does not work:


1. repeat steps 1 and 2 above

2. rename the "chart.exe" file adding any kind of character to the name.

3.  then scroll up the list in same file location and find the "utilities" folder.

4.  double click on that folder to open.

5.  run the "verify files" program.

6.  after completion, the computer will need to be rebooted.

7.  now open chart
